What we collect

When you book an appointment or contact us, we may collect your name, email, phone number, the document you upload, and identity-verification data required to complete a notarization.

How we use it

We use this information to schedule and complete your notarization appointment, verify your identity as required by law, communicate with you about your booking, and improve our service.

How we protect it

Documents and identity data are transmitted and stored using encryption. Access is limited to the notary handling your appointment and the staff required to support your booking.

Third parties

We use Calendly for scheduling and a third-party provider for identity verification. These providers process data under their own privacy policies in addition to this one.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, subject to our legal obligation to retain notarial records for a required retention period. Contact ken@theonlinenotary.ca to make a request.
