How to notarize an affidavit online
What to prepare, how the oath works, and why not to pre-sign.
A single affidavit with one deponent is $49.99 CAD notarized online. Exhibits and extra pages are $26 CAD each. Here is how that plays out in real situations.
Every exhibit and extra page handled in one sitting is charged at the $26 additional rate rather than a second full fee. Booking two separate appointments costs noticeably more than one.
Your full price is displayed before you confirm the booking. No hidden charges, no travel costs, no surprises.

Notarizing a single affidavit with one deponent online is $49.99 CAD. That covers the whole appointment: identity verification, administering the oath or affirmation, witnessing your signature, completing the jurat, applying the notary's signature and seal, and emailing the finished document back to you the same day.
It also covers the part people do not think to price — the eligibility check. Before you pay anything, we confirm your affidavit can be sworn remotely for your province and intended use. That review is free, and it is the difference between a document that gets accepted and one that gets sent back.
Only two things change the price, and both are charged at $26 CAD each:
Exhibits are the usual reason a total exceeds the base fee. If your affidavit references a contract, bank statements, and a screenshot, that is three exhibits to mark, and each is handled and charged individually.
A single-page affidavit with no attachments — the most common case — is $49.99. Nothing else applies.
Base affidavit $49.99, plus two exhibits at $26 each, for a total of $101.99. Both exhibits are marked during the same appointment.
A three-page affidavit with four exhibits comes to $49.99 for the base, $52 for the two additional pages, and $104 for the four exhibits — $205.99 in total, all handled in one session.
All figures are in Canadian dollars and reflect our published rates. Your exact total is always shown before you confirm a booking — there are no fees added afterwards.
Comparing headline fees alone understates the difference. A traditional office visit adds costs that never appear on the invoice: travel and parking, time away from work, and often a second trip when a document turns out to need a correction or an exhibit was missed. For anyone outside a major city, the travel time alone can exceed the notarial fee.
A remote appointment removes all of that. There is no travel, appointments run 7am to 11pm seven days a week rather than business hours only, and most sessions finish in 10 to 15 minutes. If a problem with the document surfaces during the call, it is usually fixed on the spot rather than requiring a return visit.

Yes. Each exhibit must be individually marked and initialled by the notary, so each is charged at $26. Grouping several exhibits into one appointment is still far cheaper than separate appointments.
Usually, once you account for everything. Beyond the fee itself you avoid travel, parking, time off work, and the second trip that in-person appointments often require when a document needs correcting.
